Lauren is 22-year-old graduate of Southern Connecticut State University, majoring in Studio Art with a Concentration in Painting. She has a wide array of interests ranging from web design and technology, to painting and fine art, as well as biology and wildlife. In her free time, Lauren mostly enjoys drawing, as a strong sense of design is important to her. Mediums of choice include digitally painting with a graphics tablet; watercolor and gouache work; and acrylic and oil works on canvas. Lauren has been building websites since 1998 at the age of 11, slowly teaching herself to code sites in plaintext HTML and CSS in her free time, with the initial intention of coding sites for displaying personal artwork. Lauren is self-taught in: Adobe Photoshop 7 through CS, Dreamweaver 8 through CS, Painter Classic, Paint Tool SAI; Microsoft Word and Powerpoint; FTP programs; experience with use of Wacom Intuos tablet; Knowledge of and ability to hand-code CSS, HTML and some knowledge of Javascript and PHP.
Real Media Experience: Oil paints, acrylic paints, pastels, pencils (graphite and colored), charcoal, alcohol- and water-based markers, watercolors, gouache, woodblock printmaking, linoleum printmaking, screenprinting, lithography, jewelery- and metalsmithing, ceramics & pottery.
